Building community power to advocate for all students

Collective Action for Education fights for all Rhode Island kids, especially those in historically marginalized communities, to have access to high-quality schools.

Working together to change our schools

We are building community power to transform Rhode Island’s education system, and we invite everyone who cares about our students to join us. Our work includes raising awareness about critical issues, mobilizing voters, advocating for policies that support our students and families, and championing candidates and elected officials who share our unwavering belief: our education system can and must serve all Rhode Island children better.

“This is a matter of equity. Our education system must meet the needs of all students.”

Determined For Change

In 2023, only 22% of low-income third graders in our state met expectations for reading on the state’s annual assessment and only 19% met expectation for math. We are determined to change this.
