A Leadership Program for Education Advocates in Rhode Island
EduChamps is a leadership development initiative by Collective Action for Education, designed to amplify the voices of parents, educators, and community members who are committed to advancing high-quality, equitable public education.
We believe that those most impacted by our education system should be the ones leading the way—and EduChamps is how we build that leadership, together.
EduChamps is a leadership development program dedicated to fostering education advocates who champion high-quality and equitable public schooling in Rhode Island.
The program first introduces participants to fundamental advocacy principles through general sessions before selecting and training a focused group in targeted workshops. These workshops emphasize equity in education and strategic campaigning, equipping participants with the skills to drive systemic change. By engaging parents, educators, and community leaders, EduChamps seeks to develop a network of informed advocates who can push for policies that benefit all children, particularly marginalized and immigrant communities.
The goal is to raise awareness about the status of education in Rhode Island, address systemic inequities, and develop advocacy leaders equipped to champion high-quality education for all children, with a focus on children of color, recently arrived immigrants, and marginalized families.
We need bold, informed advocates to ensure every child in Rhode Island—especially those from immigrant, low-income, and marginalized communities—has access to a school system that meets their needs and reflects their voices.
You don’t need a title to lead, you just have the commitment to show up.
