Empowering Moms to Lead in Education

This fall, Collective Action for Education invites mothers, guardians, and caretakers to join Madres Para La Educación, an initiative designed to help families become powerful advocates for their children and leaders in shaping local education.

We’re hosting Fall Sessions to introduce you to our work, our community, and the vision behind Madres Para La Educación.

Whether you’re a mom, guardian, caretaker who wants to better support your child’s education, these sessions are for YOU.

About the Program

Madres Para La Educación (Moms for Education) is a community-driven initiative that empowers moms through advocacy training, leadership development, and collaboration with schools and community partners.

Our goal is to equip mothers with the skills, confidence, and support needed to improve their children’s academic success, strengthen families, and shape the future of education in Rhode Island. 

What We Offer

Educational Workshops
Programs designed to help moms support their children’s learning and navigate the education system—available in English and Spanish.

Community Partnerships
Collaborations with schools, community organizations, and education leaders to ensure mothers’ voices are part of decision-making processes.

Leadership & Advocacy Training
Hands-on sessions focused on effective communication with teachers and schools, advocating for children’s needs, and driving positive change in education.

Peer Support & Mentorship
Safe spaces for mothers to share experiences, advice, and resources—plus mentorship opportunities connecting experienced moms with others on the same journey.

Development Opportunities
Access to scholarships, skill-building programs, and family learning opportunities that help both moms and their children thrive.
