On Election Day, for the first time, Providence voters will have the opportunity to decide who represents them and their children on the Providence School Board.
In 2022, voters approved a ballot question to create a partially elected, partially appointed school board. On November 5, non-partisan elections will be held for the first time to elect five board members, each representing one of Providence’s five regions—North, South, East, West, and Central—for a four-year term. The mayor will appoint the other five members for a three-year term.
