Education advocacy organization supports leaders who believe every child deserves access to a great public school.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Collective Action for Education today announced its endorsement of Helena Foulkes in the Democratic primary for Rhode Island governor. The organization believes Rhode Island and its capital need leaders who are not afraid to fight for students and expand access to good public schools in the state.
“Children and families in Rhode Island deserve a governor who will fight for them when it comes to education,” said Victor Capellan, founder and CEO of Collective Action for Education. “We believe that families deserve more, not fewer, public school options and that education decisions at the state level should focus on what’s best for students and families. For that reason, Collective Action for Education is endorsing Helena Foulkes in the Democratic primary for governor.”
The endorsement reflects Collective Action for Education’s commitment to supporting candidates who believe every child deserves access to a great public school, who value family engagement in education, and who support expanding educational opportunities across Rhode Island.
In addition to endorsing Helena Foulkes for governor, Collective Action for Education has announced endorsements in several other key races this election cycle, including the Providence mayoral race, Providence City Council, and General Assembly races. Together, these endorsements reflect the organization’s commitment to electing leaders who will champion students, strengthen public education, and expand opportunity for children and families across Rhode Island.
